Made a new walk instead of Hartz Peak. I've discovered My Maps in Google maps, so here's my map of the walk. Parked at the Picton River, just along Picton Rd (West). Walked along Picton Rd to the turnoff the right (gated) which leads to the Huon Track. Followed this for a way, then found a new track heading into the trees a little way past the start of the Huon Track. This is the new track which was cut down to the Huon/Picton confluence to transport materials in for building the swing bridges. Continued through to Tahune, then walked the few kilometres back to the Picton River along the road. Quite a nice circuit, if almost all on 4WD tracks or roads. Much more sheltered than Hartz Peak. Found some fungi again of course. This one was larger than a football, growing on a tree. I think it may be Laetiporus portentosus known as White Punk.

The orange ones were located in a very difficult spot, so the picture isn't as sharp as it should be.
